Move over Hillary, Waka is here! On 4/20, the head of brick squad rapper Waka Flocka Flame announced that he would be running for president in the 2016 race. Harboring his platform on the legalization of marijuana and the raising of minimum wage to $15 is sure to help win him the youth vote. The Atlanta rapper made heads turn when he added that there should also be a law prohibiting people with a size 13 shoe or more from walking on sidewalk, stating, “They have to take trains, cabs, and buses. I don’t wanna see your big ass feet taking up all the space on the concrete.” Although under the lawful age to run, it’s great to see a rapper interested in taking part in the civic system. Check out this announcement video he did for Rolling Stone highlighting his political views as well as who he would pick to be his running mate.
Rolling Stone also reminded us that 2 years ago, Waka tweeted, “I’m dead ass running for president in 2016.” Sounds like a man who keeps his promises. The humble folk of The Hundreds Staff think he’s doing it right – “tackling the important issues: weed and large feet,” says editorial assistant Todd Knaak.
After all is said and done, he’s actually too young to run, but anyway: Does Waka have your vote, theoretically? Let us know in the comments.
