Imagine if you will—having never tried some of the weirdest, most interesting foods that life has to offer. Now imagine that you work in a company with some of the most varied, and diverse foodies on the planet. That’s the dilemma of our beloved Assistant Editor, Justin Davis—so what did we do? We decided to make him eat and drink stuff that he’s never had before on camera for your (and our) amusement!
In the inaugural episode of “Justin’s First Time,” we took a trip to the streetwear mecca of Los Angeles. Fairfax just opened it’s first boba spot, Pearl’s Finest Teas—where they serve some of the very best boba teas in the city (brought to you by Dennis Calvero and Rob Panililio of Crooks & Castles and Francis Miranda of Lock & Key). Guided by their head barista, Phong Trinh (aka “The Bartender of Teas”), we made Justin try out three delicious drinks—including the one he was dreading, boba milk tea. Will he survive? You’ll have to watch to find out!
Look out for the grand opening and visit Pearl’s Finest Teas at 523 N Fairfax Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90048
