The Hundreds is proud to announce the release of The Hundreds X Sole Classics, available exclusively at Sole Classics locations, The Hundreds flagships, and both brands’ respective online shops.
Sole Classics is a distinguished Midwest sneaker and streetwear retailer, founded in 2006. Since its inception, owner Dionte Johnson (read our full story on him here) has been intent on representing the culture of Columbus, the city where he was born and raised. From their thoughtfully-curated selection of goods, to uniquely special giveaway events for the community, to their storytelling-based collaborations with brands like Vans, Sole Classics has cemented its status as a remarkably different sneaker/apparel shop.
The Hundreds has had a longstanding relationship with Sole Classics since 2010. For The Hundreds X Sole Classics collection, we were inspired by Sole Classics’ Midwestern industry heartland roots, joined with The Hundreds’ West Coast workwear origins. “Here in Ohio, we have a long, rich history of industry,” says Johnson. “With this project, we wanted to capture the story of what made the Midwest the Midwest.” The collection includes coveralls and a workwear button-up jacket in duck canvas with quilted satin lining, with signature The Hundreds X Sole Classics detailing. Also available is a steel-colored knit beanie with a leather patch, and graphic T-shirts with a design referencing the Midwest’s steel industry and Los Angeles’s film industry. The typography on the graphic is a reference to steel industry signage.
