It is no secret that I am in love with going to Miami. In fact, anytime I can find a excuse to make it out there I go. So recently I had just a reason. I wanted to shoot with Nicole Mejia for a upcoming project, so once again I was on a flight heading to the MIA. Ever since I started frequenting this city 5 years ago, it captured my heart and holds a special place with me. I found myself on a red eye which means I landed around 5:30am. I picked up my rental and headed to my hotel on South Beach. Now if you have ever been to Miami, you know sunrises and sunsets are amazing. Their skies are something else. Immediately I found myself shooting while driving, which probably isn’t the safest thing to do. I decided to head down to the beach to snap some shots of just a beautiful and peaceful scene. From there, I checked into my hotel to get settled. One of the best things about traveling is making friends in these great places. So Miami photographers Shane and Brian stopped by to say what’s up. Unfortunately Shane had to head off to handle some stuff, so Brian and I decided to venture back out towards to the beach and do some street shooting. We got to catch up on life and photography along with getting some good captures. Definitely not a bad first day especially when you get to hang with friends. Stay tuned for part 2.
