Exclusive! Street Artist Hanksy Speaks on His Scathing Tyga/Kylie Jenner Installation

Exclusive! Street Artist Hanksy Speaks on His Scathing Tyga/Kylie Jenner Installation

This week, the media’s been buzzing with news of comical neighborhood watch signs featuring Tyga as a yung “predator” on the prowl. The signs were reported to be posted at Calabasas High in Los Angeles. The culprit? Street artist and pun genius Hanksy, of course. While most speculated this as a statement of disapproval on the 25-year-old rapper (and father)’s relationship with the Kylie Jenner – who is only 17 – Hanksy has yet to make a statement other than the on point, “I just think it’s fucked” to TMZ. Fortunately, we got to briefly sit down the artist himself to get a little more light shined on the situation, revealing that he seemed to be fully aware the installation would go viral – because we basically live in a fucked up, fickle world:

“I mean, most of the time I do work that I enjoy and fully support. And then some of the time I create work that I know will get a lot of buzz. And that’s the fucked up thing the art world. Super serious and talented shit goes unnoticed and then some schmuck like myself draws up a gag for the Hollywood crowd and it goes viral. It’s bananas.” -Hanksy
