Resident sneaker guru Jon Hundreds is back again with a new entry of his sneaker column for The Hundreds. He’ll be taking a look at new releases that are hyped and slept on, and giving his completely honest and unfiltered viewpoint on each release. This week’s edition is all about the extremely hyped adidas Yeezy Boost 350 v2 “Copper” colorway—which was just one of three Yeezys that were released during the hectic Black Friday week. Were they worth the hype? Find out below!
I passed on the [Orange colorway] of the Yeezy Boost 350 v2 just so I could get these. I got the Copper and Red colorways, but I wasn’t able to get my hands on the Green ones. All black is my shit, though and I have to say that the Yeezy 350 v2 is pretty cool. Were they worth the hype? Absolutely not. At the end of the day, it’s a good, comfortable shoe—but it isn’t even that good looking of a shoe. I like them because they are really comfortable. I had all of the Yeezy version 1 colorways, and adidas upped their game on this one. They produced a lot of these, and I hope it kills the resale price on these—so people that want them can get them. They should make as many pairs as they can. Look what adidas did—they released three different colorways of the same shoe on the same day! It may be tough for them to try and get at Jordan Brand, but the only person that can possibly touch that is Kanye West. They should drop one more Yeezy before the end of the year. Maybe another lowtop, or the midtop variation of the Yeezy Boosts.
