Haute Dogs – You can have the best rib-eye on the grill and giant tiger prawns on skewers, but a barbecue isn’t complete without an All-American hot dog. Haute Dogs is a new book by chef Russell Van Kraayenburg that explores the various ways to dress up this summer classic. The cookbook holds over 100 recipes, and includes favorites across the US along with ways other cultures have adopted the hot dog. If you’re tired of throwing hot dogs into boiling water, or sending them to the grill, then this is essential summer reading.

Gitman Vintage x UNIONMADE – After working with a number of Japanese brands UNIONMADE returns to its American roots with a collection from Gitman Vintage. The Harrison suit is expertly constructed in the US and uses the classic two-button look. The suit is slightly more tapered to give it a more modern look, and is available in a range of fabrics. The navy or charcoal in wool is great for the boardroom, while the khaki twill and the blue seersucker are perfect options for the summer heat.

Samsung W – There was a period when smaller meant better for cellphones, but that went out the window once Samsung introduced the Note. The half phone and half tablet Phablet came out two years ago, and the larger screen has millions of dedicated fans. Samsung has just announced the Galaxy W, and it’s 7″ screen completely eclipses the Note 3’s 5.7″ display. The large screen is idea for web surfing and viewing movies, but what Samsung has accomplished against its competitors is to make the large screen secondary to the slim design. While the Galaxy W may not fit into a pair of skinny jeans, Samsung did make sure that calls can still be made with one. The W is currently only available in Korea, but should be available in the US soon.

colette x adidas Originals – A decade ago collaborations with big brands like Nike and adidas were easy. Take a classic shoe and throw on an logo, and you’re done. It’s much different now when you consider the branding goals of both companies. The latest from adidas Originals and colette retain the classic design of the Stan Smith, but leave with a new colette identity. The silhouette of the classic tennis sneaker remains untouched, but the signature colette blue is used throughout. The polka dots on the toe box, and the bright blue heel lend to a new design for a popular shoe.
