I think this was the highest-priced piece in the show. Dave’s homey did all the ice cream snacks, that’s all can control.

But this is my favorite piece, by far. Dave finished this one a few weeks ago, I walked into his studio warehouse and my brains exploded upon seeing it the first time. I was in love. In all seriousness, he gazed at it and said “This is the best fucking thing I’ve done in my life.” He was so convinced, he was considering scrapping all the other paintings and starting over in this new direction. I thought that might be a hasty decision, but reassured him if he wanted to get rid of everything, I’d be a good friend and dump it all for him. Into my home.
