Hello, friends. Welcome to another Rendezvous! If someone told me 3 years ago, “Hey, you’re going to be using the word ‘Rendezvous’ very often,” I’d tell that person that I want my money back—assuming it’s a psychic we are talking about here.

Moving on!

Lately, I have been having a lot of fun messing with tones and colors. At this point in my career, I am pretty confident in the way I see lights and shadows, but the way I see color palettes in everyday life is not at that level yet. So that’s what I’ve been doing lately: paying more attention to what tones I have at my disposal while shooting. I also have been more open to using artificial light as a source of continuous light. I won’t mess with strobes, at least for now, but I am totally down with bulbs and TV screens!

I have photographed Gabby a few times over the course of the past 3 years, and this time I decided to focus heavily on colors. Below is my dance with colors, crops, mirrors, body parts, colors, and, of course, light. Hope you enjoy!
