Tonight, PUSH (MSK/AWR), a man of few words and wall-to-wall ideas, will debut his third solo exhibition at Fairfax’s Known Gallery, presented by simplemobile.com, featuring a selection of large-scale, geometric paintings that will inevitably serve as the perfect backdrop for approximately 4,000 Instagram “photographs.” (Speaking of, you can follow Push on Instagram @knowudont). The impromptu, three-day show is the culmination of several all-nighters, and, according to the artist, has been an exercise in stepping outside of his comfort zone and adapting to changing surroundings. Despite the understandable time crunch, Push took time out from painting, installing, measuring, and a whole lot more painting, to chat with The Hundreds about the process, inspiration, and theme of the evening, adaptation.
