This past weekend, The Hundreds came out to celebrate the opening of LA-based tattoo artist Johnny Vampotna’s solo exhibition “Ghost Noir” at Slow Culture Gallery in Highland Park. The show features Vampotna’s latest work with new mediums, including oil paintings, photographs, watercolors and traditional tattoo art, all of which explore themes of haunting and venturing into the unknown. “Ghost Noir” was inspired by the artist’s firsthand encounter with an apparition at LA’s infamous Ambassador Hotel, and will remain on view at Slow Culture through October 23rd.
