(NO SUBJECT)

(NO SUBJECT)

HBIC Jaclyn Johnson is the founder and CEO of (No Subject), a full-service, creatively-driven marketing and events agency based in Los Angeles with satellite offices in Portland and Brooklyn. She is also the networker, planner, hostess with the mostest, and matchmaker behind Create + Cultivate (details on the ingredients for feeding and entertaining more than 60 tastemakers later, aside from an endless stream of cocktails, of course) and proud mama to one codependent puppy by the name of Noah Wyle. Yes, as in the baby-faced ER television actor whose performance obviously left a mark on a generation of us, because before there was McDreamy/Steamy, there was George Clooney.

And before there was No Subject, there was Some Notes On Napkins, Ms. Johnson’s popular blog (since back before blogs were popular), a virtual post-it where she scribbled her musings on music, culture, fashion and gadgets, marrying her progressive marketing sensibility with a love of personal style, technology, and the fashion industry. As one of the OG babes on the blogger train, the relationships she formed with the early regime of bloggers back in 2007 have continued to play a big role in No Subject’s growing success. Kind of like predicting floral would be a Streetwear trend before everyone did.

Although she still shares her thoughts with the Internet regularly (look out for her irresistibly danceable mixtapes), No Subject is her primary focus. With clients including The Spare Room, Levi’s, NastyGal, PROJECT, and Baxter Of California, the blogger-turned-media maven is busy building a branding empire, an important piece of which is Create + Cultivate, a traveling day of workshops, seminars and keynote speakers, culminating in a catered, family style dinner, previously held in Montauk, Palm Springs, and Portland. This year’s C+ C will take place at King + Grove in Williamsburg, BK. Attendees can expect a  Brooklyn Brine pickling workshop (lavender asparagus pickes!), a creative seminar with the ladies of Of a Kind,  and an interactive talk with Peter Rojas, the founder of   EngadgetGDGTRCRDLBL, and  Gizmodo, among others.  Act fast, there are still a few available seats at the round table.

From digital strategy and brand identity to coming up with hashtags that make your company exponentially more interesting (and searchable, more importantly), No Subject’s Jaclyn Johnson is the queen bee of branding. Visit them online to find out why there is (No Subject).
