Ever since the complete failure of the “Weatherman” and “Heat Map” foams that came out a few years back, the Foamposite has been merking the game on its way back to the top. Nike has been keeping the silhouette true to its roots with bold color blocking, smart pop color accents, and good story lines. It’s been really hard to say no to many of the colorways of recent foams/pros from the Yeezy of last year and wheat color of past winter. And this year is not going to be anything different from what I’ve seen – especially with the metallic gold foams that we have here.
With metallic gold basically covering the entire body of the shoe, black nubuck sitting atop, and an icey sole, this is sure to be an instant classic. Very reminiscent to and a seemingly close rival to last year’s copper foams, using almost the exact same color blocking. Of course those coppers didn’t last too long on the shelves and had an instantly high resale value. I’m sure the Metallic Gold Foamposite one is going to see the same fate. You can pick these up at your local retailer come March 14th.
