Today, LA’s buzzing star Jay 305 premiered his documentary South Central Slums, portraying a harsh narrative surrounding the neighborhood that made him the man he is. Shot by renowned filmmaker Topshelf Junior, South Central Slums chronicles the gang violence and police brutality that is endemic of everyday life in the ghetto that shaped the lives of artists from Ice Cube to Jay 305. Featured throughout the soundtrack of the doc is music from the upcoming album Taking All Bets, Jay’s debut release.
