So really what it comes down to with Kaws’ painted pieces, for me, beyond the colors and the depth and the pop sensibilities, are the lines. I really don’t understand how the artist maintains the weight and continual movement of the fine-tipped brush stroke without tape or any other aid, just his steady hand. He could’ve followed 2 paths in life: surgeon or artist. Glad he chose the latter.

He must’ve been so annoying to play “Operation” against.
