Were you ever mesmerized by those novelty gag-gift ads at the back of your comic book.. the ones popularized by Johnson Smith Company, showcasing all kinds of random odds and ends that were everything you wanted, but nothing you actually needed? Fake dog doo-doo, hand buzzers, book safes.. whenever they came in the mail, the quality was such a huge disappointment. I remember obsessing over the advertised hovercraft, sending in a few bucks and waiting 4 months for a red plastic plate with an attached motorized fan to finally come in the mail. Of course, the battery lasted 10 minutes.
Anyways, this is our tribute to the classic back-page ads from the good ol’ days, the PULP tee. Yeah, we had a little fun with this one. (Available NOW in our ONLINE SHOP. Also heads up, our Spring accessories and New Eras hit THLA and THSF this Thursday morning).
