VIDEO RECAP :: THE HUNDREDS X ADIDAS SKATEBOARDING RSWD INVITATIONAL

VIDEO RECAP :: THE HUNDREDS X ADIDAS SKATEBOARDING RSWD INVITATIONAL

A few weekends ago, six teams gathered at Hollywood High School, clenching their fists and grinding their teeth, in hopes of attaining the world’s longest title – The Hundreds X adidas Skateboarding RSWD Invitational Soccer Tournament champions. The six team captains – Bobby Hundreds, Ben Hundreds, Alexander Spit, Lucas Puig, Skin Phillips, and Van Styles – led their teams to the field for the ultimate battle of brawn and brain. Ultimately, the backbreaking match ended with Bobby and his team, Fight Back FC, taking the crown.

But luckily for us, former pro skater Tim O’Connor AKA Ghetto Bird‘s news anchor was there to capture the event as it unfolded. So check out the tournament highlights below.

The game was held in celebration of The Hundreds X adidas Skateboarding’s collaborative “Crush” pack. Read Bobby’s words on the reasons behind the collaboration below:

“There comes a point when many soccer kids draw back from team-oriented sports and gravitate towards individual activities and independent culture.  And for most of them – like myself – skateboarding is the answer.  Ask an American skater today what they did on Saturday mornings growing up and chances are, they’ll recount stories of slide tackles, halftime orange slices, and the unforgettable smell of fresh-cut grass at their cleats.  Soccer taught us the lifelong benefits of cooperation, team play, and camaraderie.  But skateboarding showed us how to collaborate with your best friend and compete against your worst enemy: Yourself.”

 And the teams:

Bobby Hundreds’ FIGHT BACK FC

 VAN STYLES’ BEVERLY BRIDGE BURNERS

LUCAS PUIG’S FAIRFAX FIRE STARTERS

 SKIN PHILLIPS’ MOVE MOUNTAINS FC

BEN HUNDREDS’ ROSEWOOD RIDERS

ALEXANDER SPIT’S HOLLYWOOD DREAMERS
