A few weeks ago, I got invited down by adidas to take a tour of the University of Miami and check out the new football jerseys they’re sponsoring. I got in on Friday with nothing to do, so Steve Malbon (Frank 151) and I took in a round of golf in the 90 degree, 90% humidity Miami weather. But it was totally worth it to get to play on this beautiful course. All I play is at this shitty course in Brooklyn for the most part. Saturday, it was all about the U, it was a jammed packed day, starting at 9am with a tour of the campus and work out session with legendary strength and conditioning coach, Andreu Swasey. I got to check out a team practice put on by the players before hitting the Wynwood section to take in some art on the Wynwood walls and carbing up on some Cuban food. Then, we went back to hotel to rest up for a few hours and get ready for the event capped off by the official unveiling of the new football uniform and a show by rapper Pusha T. I want to thank adidas and, especially, Paul Murphy for a great weekend.
