“If anyone puts the work into it and works their ass off, it’s possible,” artist Mariella Angela told us back in March about working on rap portraitures. The 21-year-old self-taught artist isn’t kidding; her second solo exhibition, SCHEME, opens tomorrow night at the Think Tank Gallery from 5-11 pm, featuring works from her interview with us as well as new, never-before-seen portraits. There will be DJ sets provided by CC LOVE and BAMBII, over 50 oil paintings to view, and 150 limited-edition photo books available for purchase, signed by Mariella. See you there.
