On Thursday, December 17, The Hundreds is releasing a collection that pays tribute to one of the greatest ever, the Princess of Pop, Britney Spears. Many of our projects are focused on looking back on some of the greatest moments of our lives, and there has never been a better year to hop in a time machine and escape. This time, we’re going back to 1999, when Britney ruled the charts and captured our hearts.

The grunge era was coming to an end and bubble gum pop was dominating, as Britney Spears and many of her former Mickey Mouse Club castmates transitioned from child entertainers to full-blown superstars right before our eyes. When Britney dropped “…Baby One More Time,” everything changed. There was life before Britney and life after, but nothing was the same. She shook the entire music industry to its core and continued to make history for the better part of two decades, from putting out two of the highest-selling albums of all time before she turned 20 to breaking seemingly unbreakable records in Las Vegas with her residency at Planet Hollywood.

The Hundreds adores Britney Spears, like everyone else on Earth, and the opportunity to create this one-of-a-kind collection with Epic Rights was one we couldn’t pass up. The year 1999 feels like a century ago with all that’s happened since, but we still remember it like it was yesterday. So, it only made sense we’d focus on such a beautiful time when things were just simpler, and way more fun. Britney Spears was the soundtrack to that time in our lives. This collection celebrates that colossal moment in time.
