RECAP :: The Hundreds X Puma "A Hopeful Future" Joshua Tree Pop-Up

RECAP :: The Hundreds X Puma "A Hopeful Future" Joshua Tree Pop-Up

This past weekend, we celebrated our latest The Hundreds X Puma collaboration with a pop-up experience in Joshua Tree to expand the conversation around “A Hopeful Future.” We featured an exclusive photo installation, focused on the process of making a sustainable collection and the importance of responsible manufacturing. What better way to approach the future of fashion, streetwear, and sustainability than in the place where nature roams free? With the event starting at 11 AM sharp, the line of people waiting to get in started at 9 AM with some people driving as long as five hours to see what the desert had to offer.

Huge thanks to everyone who stopped by, especially Daniel from XXXDCD, who still came through after spending three hours on a popped tire. Shout out to Joshua’s Tree Houses for letting us host the event at their campground and to Alex for providing the Polaroids.

Thank you all for taking the trip and making our first socially-distanced event a safe success. It was amazing to see our community come together again.

As the night simmered down and the crew closed out the event, The Hundreds team got to kick back and enjoy the desert oasis a little bit themselves. Ben Hundreds got the party started with a BBQ throwdown that salivated every mouth within a fifty-mile radius slash very rare DJ set that almost exclusively featured Frank Ocean. Ben was in his feelings, apparently.

When a few of us went inside to cool down, we found ourselves stuck in an hour-long debate about whether this animal actually existed while simultaneously avoiding eye contact with the creature – very bad vibes.

The hour-long debate ended with a five-minute explanation from Bobby stating the animal is in fact real and it’s called a jackalope *not* a chupacabra.

Nature gonna nature. Or maybe… chupacabra gonna chupa..nvm.
