This trip to Miami was a lot different then my past ones. I’m usually content with the current surroundings (it is South Beach) so long as I saw a photographic moment from time to time. But, not this trip. I had a spark to see unique and different things, and with Mayleen as my amazing tour guide she kept them coming. I was with it as soon as Mayleen mentioned that there was a set of abandoned train cars in Miami; a perfect scene for photos. So we headed off the beach, and found the cars with just a couple of hours of day light to spare.
I am not sure why the train cars were there, but you can tell people have been having some fun with them. We walked around each car, checking them out while shooting. The one thing I loved about these old trains were the textures. From the rust on the outside to the raw materials inside, it was as if this train was once alive and now you can see the skin decaying. But hey, maybe that is me looking too intensely into these photos.
