QUARANTINE LIVE BLOG 7 :: Peak Week

QUARANTINE LIVE BLOG 7 :: Peak Week

Day 1,039: haven’t seen a human since that Wednesday roughly 75 Wednesdays ago. Time is a social construct and with social distancing, the days seem further apart yet also closer together. I don’t know what it means, either.

The internet said to especially avoid going outside this week because the Rona is peaking. If I know anything about peaking, this could be our best chance to attack the Rona. It’s distracted, probably looking at the wall like it’s moving water.

Ran out of toilet paper pretty early on in the quarantine because I only had two rolls when all the panic buying started. I live on top of a CVS and was checking every morning to see if they had it, but alas, just the flushable wet wipes aka Lil Bidets. Then, I saw Uncle Paulie’s was delivering groceries and they even had toilet paper and paper towels. Score. So I added some eggs, bacon, veggies, pasta, sauce, and some paper products to my list and sent the order. That shit cost like a thousand dollars to get delivered but it was well worth it and it’s supporting a restaurant I really fuck with in a time of need so it’s all good.

What else is going on, hmmm.

Oh, I’m finally good at video games again. Hadn’t played regularly in a long time but I got it back. Got a couple wins on Warzone during this Double XP weekend, plus it felt good to reconnect with some of the homies while playing the game. Call of Duty party chat, Zoom meetings, and Facetimes are the only things keeping us relatively close to other humans right now, so they’re much appreciated.

Still can’t make Amazon Prime Now orders, which would really help while avoiding the outside world during [spooky voice] Peak Week. This fucking guy Jeff Bezos is a trip, dog. Like what happened to all those patents you filed a few years ago man? Thought we were going to have delivery drones and fulfillment warehouse blimps by now. Those projects were probably funded by the half of his wealth that went to his ex in the divorce. Maybe if Bezos hadn’t cheated on his wife, I wouldn’t have to go to the grocery store during a pandemic.

Other than that, it’s been a busy week at The Hundreds. We released our collab with Blue The Great and things went off without a hitch. Despite having to change all of our plans for rolling it out, the team stepped up huge and made it work with what we had. Thanks to everyone who supported by copping or showing up virtually to one of the activations, it was tight to see everyone.

You didn’t hear it from me, but up next are our homies from the Warner Brothers Water Tower. We haven’t seen Wakko, Yakko, and Dot for a few years now, so I’ve been spending some quality time in quarantine getting reacquainted with the gang (all episodes are available on Hulu). I suggest you do the same.

Until next time.
