After a week of temperatures ranging from 20 degrees in the day to 5 degrees at night, Sunday felt like spring with temps in the mid 40s. I decided to get out my house for a little and check out the Chinese New Year parade which took place just a few blocks from my house. It was the first time I went in about 15 years. Much different from what I remember Chinatown looking like on New Years. No more fire works or firecrackers going off all over the place – thanks to former Mayor Giuliani – but it was still a fun and very colorful parade with a lot of history and energy.
