LOOKBOOK :: The Hundreds X Rick Griffin

LOOKBOOK :: The Hundreds X Rick Griffin

On April 7, The Hundreds is tapping into the rich history of California surf culture for a collaboration with legendary artist, Rick Griffin. A pillar of the psychedelic art movement in the 1960s, Rick Griffin brought trippy surf drawings from the beaches of California to the masses.

Griffin got his start by drawing a comic strip called “Murphy” for Surfer Magazine in 1961 while he was still in high school, and from there, would go on to produce some of the most iconic artwork across music, film, comics, and more throughout the ‘60s, ‘70s, and ‘80s. Griffin’s signature style is recognizable to this day, and he still has scores of devoted fans, especially in the Dead Head community.

The Hundreds has long celebrated classic California surf culture and virtually no one represents that time and lifestyle more than Rick Griffin and his timeless art. To be able to honor his legacy with pieces that both highlight the most memorable moments of his archive while also adding new chapters to the story was a dream come true for us, and we hope you enjoy this very special capsule as much as we cherished putting it together.

The Hundreds X Rick Griffin collection features classic original artwork with new touches across a range of Graphic T-shirts, Long Sleeves, Pullover Hoodies, Hats, Stickers, and a Keychain.

Get your hands on The Hundreds X Rick Griffin collection on Thursday, April 8 through The Hundreds App and Online Shop, as well as in person at our The Hundreds Los Angeles flagship at 501 N Fairfax.
