There are some moments in life that make you feel like a kid again. It might be meeting a famous basketball player you grew up idolizing. Perhaps it is the smell of that one dish your mom used to cook for you when you were a kid. For me, that feeling came recently from having a opportunity to work with Leica Camera and Leica Craft on a exciting new camera system that they will be debuting tomorrow at their Los Angeles store. The feeling of being able to work with a brand who has such deep roots with photography – not only as an art but as a culture – was mind blowing. Bringing me back to the feeling of being 14 years old and getting free skate decks or skating a spot with my favorite pro skater.
I have been shooting with their cameras for the past few years now and quickly grew to love their systems. So when the opportunity came via David Gensler and Leica Craft to be apart of the global launch of their new camera, I was in awe. Waiting to wake up from a dream type of feeling. But now the time is almost here for everyone to see what they have been working on and I can’t wait to see people’s reactions to their new camera. With that said, if you live in the Los Angeles area come out tomorrow evening to check out their new camera as well as some new work I will be exhibiting including images shot on the new system. Info is below and I look forward to seeing you there!
