BEHIND THE DESIGN :: The Hundreds Fall 2022 Collection (Delivery Two)

BEHIND THE DESIGN :: The Hundreds Fall 2022 Collection (Delivery Two)

The first delivery of The Hundreds Fall 2022 was a smash, no other way to put it. And there are still select pieces available. But Delivery Two takes it up a notch, with standout pieces you’ll be able to hold on to forever and pass down to whoever you name a rightful heir to the Huge throne. Sorry, been watching Dragons.

With nods to our favorite childhood books and video games, collabs with legendary graffiti artists, and a varsity jacket that takes the cake, Fall D2 is the best D2 since the Bash Brothers took over the Mall of America on rollerblades. And that’s saying something.

Leading with our bread and butter, graphics, The Hundreds Fall 2022 D2 harkens back to some nostalgic landmarks in our lives that we wanted to bring back to life in a unique way.

Slime Slant is The Hundreds’ rendition of the spooky and thrilling young adult novel series, Goosebumps. Originally debuting in 1992, this classic horror fiction anthology has one of the most recognizable typefaces in history.

The Bubble graphic takes its inspiration from the 1986 arcade game “Bubble Bobble.” We see Ben and Bobby reimagined in the art style featured in the game. Present throughout the graphic, we also see Adam, Madam, Badam, Wally, and some of our favorite foods enclosed in bubbles underneath “The Hundreds” branding.

The Raging graphic is a flip on the classic 1980 boxing film, Raging Bull, swapping the “Raging Bull” text with The Hundreds’ iconic ‘Fight Back’ slogan. Based on the true life story of Jake LaMotta, this anti-hero’s image is replaced with our hyena mascot… another often-unlikeable character surviving purely through rage.

A throwback to Adam’s first-ever appearance in a collaboration from 2006, this colorful Froots graphic is a playful nod to our past work with FreshJive. This spin features Adam as various fruits while still staying true to his iconic bomb persona. Who still has a FreshJive Adam piece?!

A flip of a flip. Darkwing Duck was Disney’s first character that entered the parody genre, portraying a satirical character that mirrored your typical Golden Age comic book hero… and in true The Hundreds fashion, it’s only right we do our own flip of this favorite Saturday morning cartoon with the Midnight graphic.

Next up is the cut-and-sew portion of the show, where our design team SHINES. You saw hints of our weather pattern and roses theme in D1 but now we’re pulling out all the stops.

The Robertson Long Sleeve is hand-beaded with sequins and embroidered with our Rich Logo to stop people in their tracks as they walk by you. This piece is incredible, though you may want to wash it on delicate.

If you’ve visited The Hundreds HQ in the last couple of years, you may have noticed the massive graffiti mural from the one-and-only Crash in our warehouse. Completed during the pandemic, we’re obsessed with the installation and thought it should be commemorated on some clothing as well. So, now you can wear it wherever you go, as well as some other custom tags of our brand by Crash.

We’ve been hitting you with breathtaking varsity jackets every few collections over the last few years and by now, your closet should be literally bursting at the seams with them. But if you haven’t copped one yet, holy shit, now is the time. The JV Jacket is a sight to behold. Featuring the Froots graphic on the back and some of the best chenille patches we’ve ever done, this gem is a must-have. Also, Steve Lacy’s “Bad Habit” has been stuck in my head for months so that’s just icing on the ice cream cookie cake.

These pants are sick. Period. Do not sleep, they’re basically already sold out. Also, global warming awareness and all that. Shout out Greta Thornberry.
