Be Street Opens in the U.S. and Unveils "Bootleg Bart" Art Show & Competition

Europe’s leading street culture publication since 2008, Be Street, recently expanded its dominance across the sea and into Los Angeles in preparation of their first US edition, arriving on July 8th at the Agenda Long Beach Tradeshow. With 268 pages of incredible content including interviews with the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Hajime Sorayama, REVOK, and plenty more, Be Street‘s US edition carries their tradition of consistently creating culture-defining material. To celebrate the move, the magazine will be throwing a group show with 70 international artists—from Buff Monster to Jimbo Phillips—who will be showcasing their very own versions of a Bootleg Bart. On top of that, Be Street is holding a creative contest to discover five young talents and has managed to whittle down the thousands of applicants to 65 finalists. You can head over to Be Street‘s Facebook to vote (1 like = 1 vote) for your favorite pieces and send them to HNYPT L.A. (212 W. 12th St.) on July 25th and 26th to join in on the Bootleg Bart Unofficial Art Show and a shot at $1,000. Votes will be tallied on June 28th, so rush on over and pick your favorites now. If you want to check out the exhibition, be sure to get your FREE TICKET from Eventbrite here before you head out.
