20th Anniversary T-Shirts, 1st Installment

20th Anniversary T-Shirts, 1st Installment

This year marks The Hundreds’ 20th year in the game and throughout the years, we’ve amassed a huge collection of t-shirt graphics. Some never made it to the printers, while others gained widespread popularity – and there are even some that we’ve forgotten about entirely. We often receive requests to bring back certain graphics, and while we rarely do, it’s our 20th anniversary, so why not? In the coming week, we’re excited to reintroduce the first installment of our “20th Anniversary Collection”, resurfacing some of our heavy hitters, deep cuts, and some tees you never thought would see the day of light again.

This installation features graphics originally printed in 2007-2009. If you don’t remember the stories, read them here below. To our community, we want to express our gratitude for supporting us throughout the years.

Fried T-Shirt (2008)

The campy, satirical film Kentucky Fried Movie, this send-up paid tribute to the cult classic while also adding signature elements of The Hundreds. You can find political statements, sneaker references, and all of your other favorite landmarks of The Hundreds graphics hidden within this gem.

Drama T-Shirt (2007)

From the classic theater motif of comedy and tragedy, our take on the iconic lockup features double tragedy because we’re some sadbois, ok? This T-shirt was designed by Maxx 242 and was featured in one of our 2007 seasonal collections and the design has stood the test of time.

Cerebus T-Shirt (2008)

The swap meet sensation Rude Dog T-shirts featuring fierce pitbulls, this Spring 2008 graphic features the mythological three-headed dog that is featured on a number of The Hundreds graphics throughout our history. But this is the first one, and Bobby loved the old Rude Dog graphic so he simply added two heads and flipped the Rude Dog font to read “Huge.”

Kids T-Shirt (2008)

A flip on Glenna Avila’s “L.A. Freeway Kids” mural. Painted in 1964 for the Los Angeles Olympic Games, the mural has gone through multiple restorations throughout the years, and to this day, you can see the mural tall and strong on the 101 Freeway. Despite the love from Angelenos, no mural is safe from graffiti in L.A.. Our version shows our logos, slogans, and name spray painted into the graphic.

Airbrushed T-Shirt (2009)

The swap meet experience is inseparable for many L.A. natives with the iconic airbrush t-shirts being at the forefront. This graphic from 2009 mimics the airbrush style with our beloved skyline front and center.

The 20th Anniversary T-Shirts will be released this Wednesday, April 12th at 9 PM PST / Midnight EST, exclusively on The Hundreds App and Online Shop.
