Phil Post is a mere 18 years old, but he’s runDertbag for longer than most established brands in the market. He was inspired to launch his own company upon watching an MTV documentary in the 4th grade, wherein Nigo gifted Pharrell with a chain; molding a sculpture of the Ice Cream piece himself. The son of American artist Frank Foster Post, Phil’s first foray into the creative space was filming skateboarding before he discovered clothing – his signature tie-dye t-shirts and bucket hats are a Dertbag signature at this point – teaching himself how to utilize all the design programs along the way. After a successful pop-up shop at The Good Company earlier this year, Phil opened the first Dertbag retail store inside the Arcade Mall, Bridgeport, Connecticut this past Saturday, and our East Coast photographer Switch was on-hand to capture the unveiling:
