ONE-SHOP STOP : TRADITION

ONE-SHOP STOP : TRADITION

Okay, I’m gonna break the rules here to catch up on two ONE-SHOP STOP features in a row. So here we go with a Back-to-Back, starting off with our fifth The Hundreds stockist shout-out, TRADITION, based locally in Westlake Village, California:

Tired of making the drive from the Valley and beyond into Los Angeles to pick up the newest in streetwear and sneakers? Well then, Tradition is for you. Located in the suburbs of Westlake Village, Tradition caters to fashion, sneaker, and art enthusiasts from the Valley and the 805.

Tradition opened their doors in November of 2006. Owners Andrew Kline and Jason Gaines, were previously buyers at fashion hotspot Fred Segal, before partnering to open Tradition. Sharing a mutual respect for street culture and lifestyle influencing factors, the pair opened Tradition – a high-end streetwear boutique for men and women that specializes in hard to find sneakers, apparel and accessories.

Tradition carries a strong line-up of apparel brands such as Crooks & Castles, Rogue Status, The Hundreds, Diamond Supply Co., Stussy, Fresh Jive, 10 Deep, Akomplice, and Rebel 8, as well as their own Tradition brand. They also stock footwear from Nike, Vans Vault, PF Flyers, and Converse. Women need not feel left out, because Tradition carries a wide variety of clothing from Hellz Bellz, Stussy, Insight, and 10 Deep exclusively for the ladies.

Tradition hosts bi-monthly art events, and has featured the works of Derek Albeck, Axis, J. Bannon, Eyeone, Marco Zamora, as well as a long list of up and comers.

Recent collaborations with Mr. Cartoon, Soul Assassins, Dalek, Undrcrwn, Axis, and Super Rad Toys are just a hint at what’s to come from Tradition. Upcoming collaborations with New Era as well as a few others are sure to get a big buzz on the streets. Expect big things in 2008!
