Ben and I trekked out to Pomona last night, an hour outside of Los Angeles, to attend Mac Miller‘s show at the Glass House. We figured it was better this way, much better than watching Mac at the Troubadour show in LA Friday night… shows in the city of Los Angeles aren’t the best if you’re coming at it crowd-wise. It’s typically all record execs and A&Rs looking for a scoop. Glass House shows are ideal: Real kids, real fans.
We were halfway through opener Casey Veggies‘ set when Ben got an emergency phone call from a friend in dire straits. 15 minutes before Mac was to take the stage, we had to bounce and book it back home to LA. What a bummer, we’d both been looking to see Mac headline this show for months.
I was all set up to take photos of the performance as well, and relay the experience back to you. Unfortunately, I have nothing to show for our hours-long mission… but the least I can do is leave you with his “Knock, Knock” video. Sorry guys, until next time!
