I figured there weren’t enough photographs, and enough of a tribute, to Kim Deal, the Pixies’ bassist. For many, she is the cornerstone of the band, and her outside work is even more reason to revere her. Many of you may already know that along with Tanya Donnelly and identical twin sister Kelley Deal, Kim fronted the Breeders. Anybody see the Pixies on Conan last night? I thought they were pretty reserved.

Considering all the historic drama between Kim and lead singer Black Francis aka Frank Black, she always seems to enjoy herself up on that stage. Always smiles from ear to ear.
