I like to work in clusters and collages, sometimes juxtaposed imagery is more powerful than on its own, and that’s an idea that Australian artist/designer Michael Steele has pretty much perfected. Here are some images from his portfolio… mixed media, illustrations, paintings, stencil, spray-paint. Steele incorporates a lot of subtle pop culture references but I’m especially fond of the ones where he works together materials like “Natures Return.” Oh, and the ones where he uses familiar cartoon bombs.
