People often ask me what kind of camera I use for my shoots. It’s digital, it’s new and fancy, it doesn’t matter. My main love is my 1972 Canon ftb that was handed down to me by a family friend. I love the imperfections that it creates in photos, and that I never really know what kind of results I am going to get. I love that I have to think about every shot. There is no information being provided in the viewfinder, so every time I point it at a new direction I have to think about the lighting, focus, the ISO of the film and I believe that it is important for me to be aware of these things. The current technologies we have in our cameras have made it so easy to become lazy and thoughtless. We can just load a memory card, take the lens cap off, and go to town. I highly recommend getting an older camera to exercise your eye and brain. Enough about the camera…

Kayslee is a neighbor of mine. She recently moved to Silverlake and ever since then, there have been many shoots and debaucherous nights in her backyard. We were both bored the other day so I grabbed my Canon ftb, 6 rolls of film and went over to her house for a Rendezvous. None of these photos have been retouched or edited. Hope you like!
