Comic-Con was blessed this weekend with the opportunity to view the elusive trailer for the new addition to the X-Men canon that Marvel has been working on—X-Men: Apocalypse. “Playing Wolverine is the greatest part I’ve ever had in my life,” longtime Wolverine Hugh Jackman said during the panel in San Diego, amongst a crowd packed with his friends from the expanding franchise (a Gambit movie with Channing Tatum has just been announced as a standalone film). In this new epic, the mutants face a new alien presence stronger than any enemy they’ve known before, along with the Four Horsemen. X-Men: Apocalypse—which also stars Jennifer Lawrence, Channing Tatum, Olivia Munn, Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, and many more—is set to hit theaters around the world on May 27, 2016.
