Earlier this afternoon, our skater Jimmy Briggs was asking me “Whattya say to all the haters?” He was eating an In-N-Out burger in the kitchen, between Sunday ramp sessions in the warehouse and us conversing about running a business, and it was an honest question. I get asked about hate occasionally – usually from the younger kids who are caught up in that sorta thing, and industry gossip hounds who have nothing better to talk about – and I don’t really have time for any of it, so my only standard reply is this.

But when I really sit back and look at the entire thing – you know, take time out of my day to consider the hate and the haters – I can’t get very far. Because there’s so much love that faces me instead. I tweeted something once along the lines of, “Sorry hecklers, but I can’t hear you above the applause of our fans.” It’s true.

I’m a family man and this is our family, man. Wherever we travel in the world (you can send me to all points of the earth) and I got crew waiting for me in the airport. The Hundreds is worldwide and we reach everywhere… BUT there’s no one that holds us down like our fam right here in Los Angeles. For 2 straight days this weekend, we held a summer warehouse sale to inaugurate our new building in Vernon. And the FAMILY came out in droves, from Arizona to Oxnard to San Diego. A few thousand people, easy. Our core staff maintaining on the inside. Nothing but smiles and goodtimes and positive vibes, many kids slept out Saturday night just to get right back in line Sunday morning for a second day of support.

Of course we throw a warehouse sale first and foremost to make dollars. But we also do it to connect and re-connect with you, The Hundreds’ loyalists and street soldiers. You’re the ones out there everyday for us, repping the brand and making us look good. Just like Jimmy, The Hundreds ARMY, we see your passion for our passion. We respect your respect.
