Beats by Dre Samurai – The future of Beats is looking pretty bright after their acquisition by Apple, and first on the agenda is international business. A special Samurai Edition of the Studio 2 takes on the rich heritage of Japan and incorporates it across the premium set of headphones. The Studio V2 is embodied by a rich indigo blue exterior that pays homage to the dyes and textiles used centuries ago. The cloth binding found on a set of samurai swords is referenced across the headband of the headphones, and a family crest is white in printed on the interior.

Stussy x TREATED CREW – Chicago hip-hop group TREATED CREW is heading to Japan, and Stussy offers a warm welcome with a commemorative collection. Stussy has always had a longstanding appreciation of music and offers a capsule collection while the TREATED CREW hosts a music showcase. Look for the collaboration to yield graphic T-shirts that integrate the TREATED CREW’s logo with classic Stussy iconography. In addition to the T-shirts, there are a couple of beanies that round out the collection. Look for the collection to be available toward the end of June to coincide with the TREATED CREW’s special appearance.

HUF x UXA – Step into the Supreme store in Los Angeles or New York and you’ll find UXA on the shelf. This New York based skateboard brand has deep roots in gritty downtown skate culture, and has recently been tapped by HUF. The collaboration results in integrating recognizable graphics from both brands across skate staples like graphic T-shirts, snapback caps, and socks. Look for the colorways for the collection to be inspired by sports team from each respective brand; San Francisco Giants for HUF’s hometown, and Navy Blue for New York’s beloved Yankees. Look for the collection to be available now at HUF and UXA retailers.

Nike Air Max 1 Essential – The Air Max 1 is a staple for any sneakerhead. The classic runner has a smooth and clean silhouette that lends itself well for the summer. Two new colorways introduced for this season stick to the original design and blend premium suede and mesh for the uppers. The midsole is a vintaged yellow while the outsole is gum rubber. Available in Matte Silver of Midnight Navy the two new colorways for the Air Max 1 are simple and crisp. It’s nice to see Nike not ruin a classic with fancy hybrid textiles or weird prints.
