DON'T IGNORE THEIR IGNORANCE.

DON'T IGNORE THEIR IGNORANCE.

By Bobby Hundreds

First of all, we would like to thank all of you who fought for us and showed the city of L.A. how important The Hundreds’ annual Labor Day Block Party is to the community. We had supporters writing in from all over the world, dedicating blog entries to the situation, many pointing out that this behavior doesn’t help to polish LAPD’s tarnished track record, some vowing never to even visit the State of California because of the City’s nearsightedness.

Unfortunately, both city leaders and the world infamous LAPD continue to ignore our voice, as they often have with not only us, but you. It’s your job to continue to fight back against the bureaucrats who continue to hold us down. Get involved, become politically aware of the forces who run your city, and let ’em know that you won’t take it lying down. At the end of the day, they shut down a party and ruined a good thing for thousands of people. Okay, perhaps not a big deal. But in the grand scheme of things, these are the people who make much more sweeping, profound decisions that affect your personal lives.

I hope that this entire ordeal is a reminder to all of you that if you don’t speak up, they’ll continue to walk all over us. One incessant, whiny man at a corner market (by the way, this guy is about my age) had the ability to persuade our Councilmen and the entire Los Angeles Police Department to ignore multitudes of us. Imagine what we could do if we all raised our collective voice?
