fragment and Pilot are teaming up once again for a line of pens. Last year they worked on the erasable ink FriXion line, and this year they moved over to the higher end and using the FriXion Biz pen. While the original FriXion has a plastic body, the FriXion Biz comes with a matte black finish courtesy of its metal body. The fragment design logos subtly highlight the stealthy black body. The pen has an anticipated release of June 17th at the honeyee store.

In the absence of snow, brands such as DC and Neff are back to drawing board for their latest creations. The brands’ snowboard divisions recently launched an initiative for the 2011 Winter season that combines boards, boots, gloves, and apparel into one singular collection. The designs are based on neon lights, flamingos, palm trees, and funky colors for one wild ride. Expect to see these around September at select DC flagships and snowboard shops.

It’s arguable whether or not Vans will usurp the apparel industry, as they have done so with their footwear for the past decade, but their recent Fall 2010 project with pro rider Anthony Van Engelen begs to differ. The signature collection invades the scene with a large range of pieces from button up shirts and jackets to shoes and denim. It houses the Vans trademark looks, but with a touch of exclusivity. These are scheduled for the Fall deliveries at Vans’ accounts.

Woolrich has been around for ages, but it is their recent collaborations that have brought them into the limelight. It’s a good thing Woolrich is making some noise because we get to see new jackets such as the Three Layers Anorak, and The Heritage Officer Coat. Both jackets are from Woolrich John Rich & Bros recent Spring and Summer collection and offer a look into clean and timeless design. The design team is based in Italy and the clean silhouette clearly shows the attention to detail, and with the use of Woolrich’s quality milled textiles the jackets are perfect for any wardrobe.

“SPEAR” stands for Special operations forces Personal Equipment Advanced Requirements, a jumble of words really. It was designed specifically for the US military by Gregory, but has since to been made available to the general public. They make use of every possible space in a tight compact bag, not mention their unparalleled durability. Unfortunately, they’re keeping these at bay in Singapore so buyers in the States will have to make some international purchases.

Puma delivered a new batch of 917 Lo’s and Benny Linens at Huf this week. The look of the 917’s were inspired by the Porsche 917 racecar during the 1970’s, a true classic in its own nature. They aimed for a shoe that hit all areas of speed, style, and grace by combining race track qualities and comfortable materials. Next is the Benny Linens, a much more casual shoe. They’ve been vulcanized, meaning you can abuse the heck out of them without serious consequences thanks to a specialized building process. It also features a padded collar to avoid those pesky blisters.

The newest generation of Skytops from Supra footwear have a much more unique look compared to other high tops in the industry. This Fall, expect to see the Grey Sueded Nylon, Off-White Canvas Wino, and Tobacco Kid-Skin Leather models at select stands. What’s great about these is each pair expresses a different characteristic, perhaps catering to even the most unlikely individuals.
