Carhartt is better known for their workwear aesthetic, but their new Work in Progress (WIP) line is making bold moves. The latest project is with Vans and will be shedding that workwear image. Carhartt is asking for Vans to use bright colors and 3M on a series of classic Eras. Look for the Eras to come with reflective detailing on the uppers, and subtle use of leather across the heel.

Curtis Kulig, the artist behind the iconic message LOVE ME, is the latest to collaborate with Vans on the spring 2013 Classics Collection. The three-piece capsule collection is set to hit stories February 1, 2013, just in time for Valentine’s day, and is available at their online shop now.
LOVE ME is featured in three distinct looks on Vans Classics. The Vans iconic red Authentic is adorned with an all over embroidered LOVE ME while the Checkerboard Slip-On becomes the canvas to a paint splatter design. Finally, the SK8-Hi Slim, a women’s specific style, features an oversize embroidered LOVE ME on the side panel.

Vans teamed up with Hong Kong based Streetwear brand, CLOT to design a capsule of footwear for the holiday season. Continuing on with CLOT’s Tribesmen theme, the collaborative release features CLOT’s interpretation of both the Vans Era and Classic slip-on silhouettes. To celebrate the release, CLOT is hosting a party at their retail space, JUICE Hong Kong in Causeway Bay on December 14th, those purchase the shoes through JUICE between December 7th- December 13th can expect an invite!
