The Sandlot is one of the best sports movie ever. And no, this is not up for debate. To celebrate the 20th anniversary of this legendary coming-of-age story which caused a generation of pubescent males to frequent locals swimming pools in search of their very own Wendy Peffercorn, iconic American brand PF Flyers has released The Sandlot Limited Edition 20th Anniversary Center Hi. Only 2,000 pairs of the Original Sandlot Shoes will be available for purchase, “The ones that let Benny “The Jet” Rodriguez jump higher and run faster and retrieve the priceless Babe Ruth ball from the lair of The Beast.”

The Hundreds is pleased to announce the release of the special edition Tropic Johnson Low shoe, available at The Hundreds’ flagship locations and at the following authorized retailers on Thursday, November 1st: Wish (Atlanta), Brooklyn Projects (Los Angeles), Premium Goods (Houston), Bodega (Boston) and Moda 3 (Milwaukee). The shoe will also be available through The Hundreds’ Online Shop on Monday, November 5th.

The limited edition Tropic Johnson Low is the latest installment in The Hundreds’ Blue Box series and comes offered in two different colorways – black and blue. Each shoe features a distinct Hawaiian print pattern, making every pair unique and one of a kind. Other highlights include a high quality canvas exterior with matching canvas lining interior, leather embossed tongue label, Vulcanized Sole construction and a Performance Molded PU insole in blue. Only 150 pairs of each colorway will be produced and distributed across participating retailers.

The Hundreds started with t-shirts, and so for years people would refer to us as a “t-shirt company.”  And that was okay with us, except we never pigeonholed ourselves as just that.  We had always considered The Hundreds to be a genuine lifestyle project – an all-encompassing brand that showcased and reflected all of our interests from head to toe; taken literally, baseball caps to shoes.

A few years back we introduced our first footwear model under The Hundreds: The Johnson Mid, initially available in four colorways.  And then, with your support, the line grew, from Johnson Lows to Valenzuelas, to Scullys, Jacksons, Rileys, Hoyas, and so on.  As our footwear program has grown, it has come into it’s own as a unique and distinct brand – a new identity, like an alter ego, for The Hundreds.  It’s been pretty exciting for us to see the niche we’ve created with our footwear program, somewhere beyond the skate-shoe market and shy of the urban sector.  I really don’t think anyone else out there is doing it like us, or offering what we got.  I just wanna thank you for your patience, faith, and dedication to our footwear range as it’s matured and developed over the years.  With this next Winter season, I believe we are finally there.
