Established in 2005 – though, technically developed from 2000’s Sherman Oaks-based record store/label, The Basement – Moose Limited has leaped from humble beginnings to the largest independent streetwear retailer based in California. Led by Ori AKA Moose, the Chatsworth-based company originally formed when the age of free downloads redirected their focus away from their record store/label, and into something that couldn’t be downloaded: T-shirts and other merchandise. Ten years in, the company has picked up some of the biggest names in streetwear to fill their shelves, giving credit to The Hundreds for transitioning them from hosting “small brands with limited demands to [brands that are] extremely exclusive online.” We headed on over to learn Moose’s story below:
