It’s one of my favorite days of the year. When The Hundreds is invited out to Keystone, Colorado for the Zumiez 100K and I have the excuse to get back on a board and surf the snow.
Today I’m riding my custom The Hundreds 10th Anniversary snowboard by Nightmare (You know, the one they made for me last night!), showcasing a collage of some of our favorite t-shirt graphics over the past decade. Rides better than any snowboard I’ve owned, plus it’s got that throwback ’90s shape that’s nowhere else on the mountain.
Everyone is here. RIME is painting a mural behind me while I run into Braydon Szafranski. “I swear I’m gonna buy a real snowboard jacket one day!”
Scotty and I are riding with Keith Hufnagel and Sweets of HUF, pro skateboarder Dennis Busenitz, as well as Andy and Kate from Zumiez.
It’s unfortunately come down to this being the only day a year that I get to snowboard anymore. Between work, travel, and family commitments, snowboarding is a true luxury, and I take every advantage of it. Plus, you don’t get 10-minute rides and scenery like this back home.

By afternoon, we’re spent. Thighs burnt, wind-chapped faces, can’t feel our feet anymore, out of breath. Out of shape. But man, the ride was worth it.
