Andrew from Tradition just e-mailed me these photos of his customer, 17-year-old photographer Matt Little, who’s down in Africa sharing some of that TH love with the locals.
Pretty awesome. Thanks Matt.

Last night, we drove down to Long Beach to support our good friend, and even greater artist, Stacey Aoyama, who debuted her artwork for ISM’s Sk8ology show. The gallery was lined with 150 skate decks, which have been personally touched by renowned artists, skateboarders, and other figureheads from the skate community.
Here’s Stacey’s piece, an amalgamation of painted silhouette characters, laser-cut fixtures, and a whimiscal storybook theme.
The decks are being auctioned off to support Now That You Know, a “non-profit organization that helps to provide ambitious girls from developing countries a secure environment for learning and growth.” You can start bidding now!
Jason Lee’s work.
Along with Stacey, it was nice to see some other friends of ours participating in the show, including Steven Daily, Mike Shinoda, and here’s Alyasha Owerka-Moore’s curb-crusher.
Jon Chase.
I see Mark Cruz’s name in there.
and Munk One.
The show continues to run at KOOS Art Center at 540 E. Broadway in Long Beach until it moves to ASR in San Diego from September 4-6, and then Surf Expo in Florida from September 12-14.
This guy was tops.

Hey, there’s Tylor Tyler (TylerSpencer) again.
Mind you, this is 1/2 of the widely-respected design team who built both THLA and THSF. So let’s see some of the concepts he’s been working on throughout our meeting.
…Oh…
Alex is here today. He’s been sick for.. ever. In more ways than one.
Alex’s turn at Tyler’s notebook.
Apparently, Vulcans are future descendants of Asian people. Makes sense.
Alright, enough with the notebook. Time for skin.
You know what that lady Angel of Death needs? A moustache.
I’d say Tyler looks like a gay cop, but that’d be an insult to gay cops.

The Five Four crew dropped in this afternoon. These guys went from screenprinting t-shirts for their friends in college to having full-page Macy’s print ads, decorating A-list celebrities and athletes, and being revered for their fashion-forward menswear by industry and consumer alike. Much of that thanks to creative director Andres Izquieta, who’s currently booking a flight from LA to Tokyo to NY to Mars to Paris and back. In a week’s time.
Peter Mintz will become your best friend in under 6.3 seconds. Here he is, selling salt to snails.
Dee Murthy is so far ahead of the game, that he’s over the Blackberry, ditched the iPhone, and onto the empty water bottle as the uber-cool head-appendage status symbol. Unfortunately, it’s zeroed-out by the fact that he wears RAINBOW flip-flops. Weaksauce. (What a Trojan).

Back at The Social Trust.
Mari gears up.
Suzie was onset to handle makeup for the day. It’s crazy to meet people who have mastered their craft in a field I know absolutely nothing about.
Arpa is not only Armenian and Swedish, she speaks both languages fluently. Oh, and she speaks Norweigan also, forgot to mention that.
